Calculate the volume of water or liquid inside any pipe. Enter the inner diameter and length to get volume in gallons, liters, cubic feet, and cubic inches.
Volume per foot of pipe length for standard nominal pipe sizes:
| Nominal Size | Inner Dia. (in) | Gal/ft | Gal/100ft |
|---|---|---|---|
| ½" | 0.622 | 0.016 | 1.6 |
| ¾" | 0.824 | 0.028 | 2.8 |
| 1" | 1.049 | 0.045 | 4.5 |
| 1¼" | 1.380 | 0.078 | 7.8 |
| 1½" | 1.610 | 0.106 | 10.6 |
| 2" | 2.067 | 0.174 | 17.4 |
| 3" | 3.068 | 0.384 | 38.4 |
| 4" | 4.026 | 0.661 | 66.1 |
| 6" | 6.065 | 1.501 | 150.1 |
| 8" | 7.981 | 2.599 | 259.9 |
The volume of a pipe is calculated using the cylinder volume formula, using the pipe's inner diameter (not outer diameter).
